Death Metal D. Took me a while to get into the vibe of this album. Sure glad I stuck with it because it's such a good album and by far my favourite of 2018. A lot heavier, darker and dissonant and I really hope they continue like it in future.

thebryceroy This is a solid slab of death. However, i have a nitpick, and that's that Where Temples Are Older Than Trees kind of derails the album by being first. That track is a closer, plain and simple, the sad truth is that the rest of the album can't match it, and thus feels lesser because of it. Don't get me wrong, the album is GOOD. However, WTAOTT is better by itself than a lot of full albums, so the band set the bar impossibly high with that track placement.

RECOMMENDED Favorite track: Where Temples Are Older Than Trees.

about

APOCROPHEX returns with their sophomore full length titled ‘AEternalis’. This new release is a fully independent offering funded solely by the two piece band themselves. In the 3 years since their debut full length, APOCROPHEX has fine-tuned their craft and has added a much more sinister tone, dark atmosphere and dissonant nature to their already ferocious technical death metal approach. Joined in the studio this time by session drummer Kevin Paradis (Svart Crown, Sutrah)
